I have heard that you can somehow piggyback off of someone else’s internet, but can they then access your information? Like would my banking info be secure?
Yes, you can steal someones internet, but it’s against the law, and most people have passwords to access their wireless internet. If you could get on someone’s network, and if they really wanted to, they could find out where the signal (coming from their router) is going and they could find your house. Then you could be in real trouble, like you could end up in court and go to jail. So I would recommend just getting your own internet
…………………
There is no such thing as “free internet”. With your wifi you can pick up internet signals but about 75% of the time when you go to a coffee shop or wifi enabled place you have to pay for service. Unless you can get close to an unsecured network, you will either have to pay for service or create your own wireless network.
PS google is trying to take over the world along with other companies which are bringing free internet to certain cities to try out.
…………
You can go to hotels or some restaurant. They do have free WiFi. Yes it is safe if you have virus detector programs. Don’t download any unrecognized website. ( mostly porns) Yes they can sometimes access your information so better don’t divulge your banking infos.
……………..
Yes, it is possible for them to see what you are doing.. piggybacking is actually theft of signal, but, we call it pb..
I’ve done it, in the past.. but, have my own now..
also, you can go to places that have free wifi and use that.
25 years of computer use
yea it’s probably not a good idea. Just don’t do your banking and you’d be fine if that’s all your worried about.
Do you have a mac if so you don’t have to worry so much.
………………
