I mean, all the way into adulthood. I separated the ones I could save and put them in an aqua breeder pen, where they can still see their /very protective/ parents, but not be eaten by the predator in my aquarium who ate their two siblings. They are already about as long as the diameter of a dime, and they are adorable. But how long until they’ll get big?

you will see major growth in the next 3-4 months but it takes about a year or two for them to become the full size awsomeness that they were born to be. i have four tiger oscars and two albinos, they are the best fish ever!

the plant cell contains colored molecule like chlorophyll on its inside cell layer.Chlorophyll appears green because it absorbs red light from sunlight and it is this absorbed energy which drives photosynthesis.
and thus, this chlorophyll gives the plant a color of green.

Question on blogs?

Now I have been blogging for who knows how long but it was mostly on websites like myspace or xanga. I have just started using the blogger website but I am wondering how do you know if people visit your site or who && what should you do so people can look at your blog more or make your blog known?

One thing on how to keep your blog be recognized on blogger or blogspot is to trade links with other bloggers who have the same subject or interests such as you. You could also trade links or advertise your link on myspace or xanga stating that you started a blog in another web provider. Its one way of making the blog interactive.

Question about birds?

I just bought a bird yesterday (parakeet) and the lady at the pet store said not to touch the bird for two days. Does anyone have a parakeet and if you do what would happen if I played with the bird before two days?

The reason that she told you this was because you don’t want to scare the bird. The bird has been through a lot- he was taken out of the place he had lived all his life to a new home without any of his friends, he needs some time to adjust. Just feed him, give him water, let him see you are the one who feeds him and cares for him- once you get to the stage where you can put your hand in the cage without him flying around madly you can start thinking about hand training him. Take it slowly, and read up on Parakeet training- you have to have patience.

………

The reason you have been given this advice is because ,your bird has come into new and unfamiliar surrounds and has not yet got to know you .

Give it time(4-6 DAYS) and have a little patience,it will then settle and you can then begin to train it.

It would not do any harm to attempt to handle it but it may be frightened by too much attention too soon.

What is the best medication to get rid of bad acne?

Friday, July 18th, 2008

I have used Proactive and all of the products they sell in stores. I have tried a variety of medications. I have had laser treatments. I have completely changed my diet and lifestyle. Now what can I do???

I wouldn’t recommend any medications since you have to keep going on them until your acne completely clears up on its own.

Try this method that I use to keep my skin clear:
Get any kind of face wash that has 2% (or higher) salicylic acid (ex. st. ives, aveeno, equate, neutrogena’s acne fading peel) and a moisturizer (no oil in them except for safflower oil, which is rare to find) for your skin. Wash your face with water that has 1 or 2 lids of rice vinegar or apple vinegar (that’ll get rid of the redness immediately - if you have any). Also, use eggs to fade scars (if you have any) and reduce breakouts. One more thing, for discoloration that occurs because of pimples, mix white toothpaste with a drop or two of rice or apple vinegar. It needs to be creamy and not liquidy. This will get rid of the discolorations in a few days if its new and a week or so if it’s old.

Also, try not to sleep on the side of your face because you can spread more bacteria from the pillow sheet to your face (if you sleep with the same pillow sheet everyday) causing more acne. If you need to sleep on the side of your face, put a towel over your pillow sheet every 1 - 3 days.

The egg treatment is very effective in getting rid of pimples very fast (usually in under 15 minutes).

What are some tasteful and classy ideas for a bachelorette party?

- Not overly Sex-ified
- Without a ton of Alcohol

bachlorette parties can go either way- tasteful or tacky- and each can be a great time!
if you’d like to do something outside the home you could always look into some type of boat tour or renting a pontoon boat on a lake or river for some relaxing fun, maybe a dinner cruise or cocktail cruise (we have them here in Milwaukee) or maybe a trip to a local comedy club for some laughs or a nice bar on top of a building downtown maybe for a few drinks.
if staying in you could always have a spa night where everyone does nails (or you can hire someone to come do nails or chair massages), facials, makeup tips, parfin wax baths, foot baths- anything spa related. you could get a cheap pair of flip flops for each guest as a party favor and maybe some lip gloss or nail polish or something in a little goodie bag. have light foods like finger sandwiches, smoothies or margaritas, veggie trays and fruit salad.
how about hiring a hula dancer or belly dancer to give lessons at the house or little more risque- a pole dancing lesson from an instructor!
you could hire a tarot card reader to give fortunes or palm readings
for my one friend we just went out to eat (located in a mall) then we went window shopping then stopped at another place for dessert (cheesecake factory yum!) then headed to a local bar by her house for a few drinks- it was a nice casual night out. we started off at her house for drinks (martinis) and she opened gifts.
one nice game/decoration is the tree of wisdom. get some large branches and stick them into a vase so it looks like a little tree. then you cut out hearts from colored paper and hang them from the tree (I used small pieces of pipe cleaner to make a little hook) then each guest will write down words of wisdom for the bride to be (either naughty or nice words of advice!). it looks rally pretty as a centerpiece on a table and you can send the hearts home with the bride as a memento of her party. you can also buy a martini or wine glass for each guest from the dollar store and decorate them with a paint pen in the wedding colors and use those as party favors for them also.

When gal pals of mine have gotten married .. their close friends get together and each buy her a nice peice of lingerie … We have a girls night in.. laugh.. cry.. talk… eat.. drink a lil .. just lay back .. i think its nice for the bride… she gets gifts and gets to hang out with her girls one last time as a single gal.. we play silly games…we dont make it all about sex or anything.. its tons of fun…

What is going to happen on 12/12/12?

I’ve heard a lot of things and I really wanna know from some who knows their stuff.

I assume that you are referring to the supposed “end of the world” myth that some people believe in because the ancient Mayan calendar ends in 2012.

Our calendar ends on 31st of December every year. What happens when our calendar ends? The answer to that will give you the answer you are looking for.

Even if the Mayans did think that the world was going to end in 2012, what makes people think that they were right? People have been predicting the end of the world for centuries and none of them have been right yet. Remember all the people who thought the world would end on the turn of the millennium? Before that there were people who said the world would end some time in the 1990’s when the planets in our solar system all lined up (they were only very roughly aligned anyway). Before that it was something else and so on and so on, going right back to prehistoric times.

Check out this page for a very comprehensive list of doomsday claims throughout history going right back to 90CE (about 1/2 way down the page under the heading “Hitting the Motherlode”.

——— A lot of people actually believe that nothing happened on 01/01/00.

I had been working on software for a major corporation, and several of our computer systems certainly would have failed on that date, or the next day etc. And our main materials management planning system had started failing a full year earlier, or more. Any system that was heavily date dependent and used a 6 digit date was at risk.

So, yes, we fixed a lot of code over the 2 years leading up to 2000/01/01, and guess what, we had no failures left for that date. It was not because the concern was unfounded, but because we checked code and corrected it, tested it,
We had purchased software allegedly fixed for y2k, and when tested failed. Well that happens with fixed software. people miss problems or even see the problem and do not manage to fix it right.

What will happen on 121212? Well, there is nothing much should happen. But next month we will have a few programs that confuse month and year go belly up because month 13 showed up for the first time. This will now be rare, as most dates are now held in 8 digit format.

But that 8 digit format was not the norm in 1995.

Would energy efficiant street lights be an option to solving the Green house crisis?

I was driving to cronulla the other night and noticed the significant amount of street lights when looking over the edge of the cliff we were on. Then i hatched this amazing idea that would cut heaps of tons of Australia’s annual emissions

It wouldn’t ’solve’ the greenhouse crisis, but it would sure help. If everyone thought like you, maybe we would achieve somthing.

I think street lights have always been energy efficient by design. I used to wonder about the same thing until I found that out. Street lights don’t use conventional incandescent bulbs, they are already efficient (as far as I know).

How can you dance naturally , I think everyone can dance?

The rhythm is lost just because people are staring .
http://animaxn.page.tl/DreamVid_Global.h…

You are right….everyone can dance. It just comes more natural to some then others. If you do struggle with rhythm the only way to look natural when dancing is practice. Nothing happens without sacrifice.

You say that rhythm gets lost because people stare…I say “Dance like no one is watching”
