My 10 yr son went fishing last week (almost daily) and came home with mosquito bites. Treated accordingly for the itch. Yesterday sudden feverof 102.5 appears and complaining of a bad headache (6/10 per him). Motrin was given and fever reduced to 101.5 and remained there for a few hours before going back up to 104.5. Gave him more motrin and tempid bath which did bring fever down 2 degrees. He had a ruf night with sleeping, continued regimen of fever reducer. Woke up this am with just 101 (with tylenol/motrin) still in him and still complaining of headache. At one time during day temp went down to 99.7 and no headache. His appetite is low, liquids are being pushed, he is outputting urine (twice/three x’s today). Tonight fever jumps back up to 103.9 and severe headache. Am I fever phobic here and should call doc, or give it a few more days. When fever is lower, he is with it, talking and fighting with his brother (which to me is a sign he is doing better lol)..

Eventhough he is still very energetic and fighting with his brother don’t take nothing easily. Take him to the doctor because there is nothing to loose. Since you are fever phobic what you can do is before he go to sleep, try to cool him down by putting a wet towel which is dipped in a iced water, on his forehead, neck and arms. And repeat this for 15-30 minutes. And after that give him a childrens tylenol. And if it still doesn’t help the next morning then please take him to the doctor. Hope this works and he feels better.

Quickbooks for Accountants

Friday, July 25th, 2008

The true value of Quickbooks may be underestimated by many accountants. It is often marketed as a sort of “pocket accountant” for regular people, something beneath the skill level of a true accountant. This would ignore some of the very efficient ways to speed through minor inconveniences of bookkeeping. This can’t be done without some training though.

Specifically, an accountant will need to spare a few hours for some basic Quickbooks training. Even some general tips or Quickbooks help will make a world of difference in your ability to work. Quickbooks was designed as a tool to make accounting easier. Like any other tool, one must understand how to use it properly before they’ll see any real benefit. I can assure any aspiring user that their time spent training will pay off in the end, just through the sheer amount of time saved through faster and more organized bookkeeping.

Not ever minor invoice requires your full attention. Some of the more basic plans can be handled through the simple forms offered by Quickbooks training. The software has come a long way since it’s first release, and now provides reports and files that match your professional standards. You might as well take advantage of it.

Free Tax Filing

Friday, July 25th, 2008

April 15th just got a little less taxing. If you haven’t heard about e-filing, the revolutionary new way to file your federal and state income tax returns online, the following information will be very helpful to you. Millions of Americans have experienced the ease and simplicity of filing their taxes with one of the many efile tax services.

Most taxpayers are eligible to e-file their federal and state tax returns, but a handful of states do not support e-filing. In cases where you cannot e-file your state tax returns, most programs allow you to prepare your federal return for electronic filing, and gather all the required state tax forms for you to print, sign and mail to the state taxing authorities. You can complete your taxes or file for an extension without sending any paper forms to the IRS.

Having your taxes prepared by a free tax filing company will also ensure that you receive your refund as quickly as possible. The average refund for an e-filed federal return is received within 10 days. The average refund for a traditional return is received in 6 to 8 weeks.

Where can you find a Lime Green Bra?

Friday, July 25th, 2008

I’m desperate. My friend and I have been searching for a lime green bra everywhere. And we cannot find one. Preferably low-cut, lacy and complete with a matching thong. But we’ll be happy just with the plain lime green bra.

If I through a house party and ask for “donations” for a “charitable” event, how do I put that on my taxes if

If you *throw* a house party and people give you donations, that has nothing to do with charity. It’s just people giving you a gifts. Gifts are not taxable income so you don’t need to report them at all.

Please don’t insult your guests’ intelligence by trying to make them believe that they’re making a charitable contribution if you’re the one who’s going to be pocketing all the money.

———

Easy. You don’t. And you wouldn’t even if you DID have enough itemized deductions to itemize, assuming that you were properly sponsoring a registered charity; the people making the donations would get the deductions.

But seeing as you put the terms “donations” and “charitable” in quotations, I’m going to further assume that you’re just raising money for yourself or someone who isn’t a registered charity and in THAT case, the money you raise is TAXABLE INCOME to YOU. Show it on line 21 of Form 1040, Other Income.

Bona-fide gifts are not taxable to the recipient, but once you ASK for them, it becomes “begging income” and THAT is fully taxable.

How many ounces of formula does a almost 3 week old baby should drink?

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

<!– /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:”"; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:”Times New Roman”; mso-fareast-font-family:”Times New Roman”;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} –>

My lil boy is almost 3 weeks and i give him 2 ounces every hour….hes always hungry. should i start giving him like 4 ounces every 3 or 4 hours?

My 2 week old baby drinks 3 oz ( which most of it she end up spitting out ) every 2 to 3 hours… She just never seemed to get enough…But when i took her to her first dr visit she didn’t gained anything ..So now i try and feed her when ever she’s hungry

——–

I would try and fill a bottle with about 3-4 ounces and see if he will take it all. Every baby is different. My son is 4 1/2 months old and only drinks on average about 3oz every 3 hours. He is gaining weight fine and is hitting his milestones. But I would deff. try filling a bottle with more formula. If he takes the whole thing, wait to see when he starts to get hungry fussy again. I keep a journal and write down everytime my son eats and how much. Its so much easier then trying to remember. You just have to test the waters. He might even want more! You never know. But your baby knows when he is hungry and full, so don’t think you are ‘over-feeding’ him. Its impossible unless you force it down his throat!

Monopoly-microeconomic?

What roles do substitutes play in the definition of monopoly? If there is only one seller in the market, but the firm’s product has many good substitutes, is the firm a monopoly? Explain

That’s a semantic distinction, but not a real one. If there are substitutes for the product, the company cannot behave like a monopoly. Example: Your local telco may be the only company that can bring traditional telecom service to your home, but there are several other ways you can get telecomm service — from your cable provider. wireless providers like Clearwire, etc. Your local telco may be a monopoly in precisely what it porvides, but if it were to behave like it had a monopoly, it would price itself out of business.

Best place to sell hangar & partially built aircraft?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Recently inherited property including 1 bedroom cabin and large hangar on airstrip in N. GA. Where is the best place to advertise this for sale?

Also, 4 homebuilt/experimental aircraft in various stages of construction/restoration, none air worthy, and tools of the trade including items for old style fabric & dope coverings.

We plan to use Trade-a-plane and Barnstormers. Anything else we should try?

Oh wow, Craig’s list. I work for a company that cleans and services aircraft, and this web site has helped us purchase and sell equipment. Plus you get a wider market, nothing against Trade-A-Plane and Barnstormers, but you get a smaller “view” (usually A/C owners)

………………

As far as the property there are real-estate brokers that specialize in airport homes google it and you will see links to dozens of them. As for the aircraft parts Trade A Plane is probably your best bet

……….

You might want to try the magazines too …the classifieds for magazines like Private Pilot or Kitplanes.
